Joyeux Noël..

CNV000012

It's the cosiest holiday of the year, all about doing good deeds and all - at least we have Christmas and we remember to be kind, caring and loving!! My Christmas is quite enjoyable so far, thanks to my family and my close friends, as always! I baked cookies with my sweet mom, I wandered in the city with my brothers, ate candyfloss and visited Santa's home! Today I'm leaving to Bansko, Bulgary, for some skiing with my brothers! Only thing left is to hand over all the gifts I made or bought, ice skate, go to the caroussel, and..pretty much whatever comes to my mind, so that I can enjoy my holidays to the most!I hope you had a dreamy Christmas, or just as you imagined it at least, and got the presents you wished for..! Joyeux Noël..!

Creativity frenzy!

I couldn't describe this whole phase with any different words, but "creativity frenzy"! Christmas is just around the corner and I'm getting prepared, which means knitting, crocheting, cross stitching and baking cupcakes and cookies! I'm so excited that I'm getting things done, that I can't think of anything else!

Ciel et bordeau ( & Giveaway winner!)

The past few days have been pretty calm! Most of my time is spent to books and long walks, like this one we took with my best friend, where we found this imposing gate, which led to a house, which looks more like a castle! And that's where we chose to take some photos..

Petit Tricot Giveaway! [Closed]

Photobucket

Photobucket

From the very moment I saw this mint headband by Petit Tricot, I fell in love with it! I was lucky enough to see it while being created! Decorated with a cream bow on top, it's adorable and warm enough for the cold days to come!

Petit Tricot is a small effort, my mom and I started, to make handmade knitted items (from gloves to socks, and ornaments to jumpers) widely known and maybe challenge people to start creating their own knitted things! The brain of this whole thing is my mom, who is the creator of all these beauties! As for me, I still got a long way ahead of me to perfect my skills, but I am enriching our collections with tiny crocheted or cross stitched items!!

To enter the giveaway:

Cupcakes and letters..

cupacake and letter nights.

Nostalgia today hit zenith! I spent my day studying a teeny tiny bit, writing and sending letters, listening to some good music, reading F.Scott Fitzgerald, watching Downton Abbey and finally baking 16 wonderful cupcakes! Seems that I couldn't help myself, and despite the fact that there wasn't enough light in my room, I decided to take a photo!

Anyone passing by, can come over for a sweet little treat!!

And there, night came in.

Rose and words.

It was passed from one bird to another,
the whole gift of the day.
The day went from flute to flute,
went dressed in vegetation,
in flights which opened a tunnel
through the wind would pass
to where birds were breaking open
the dense blue air -
and there, night came in.

Back.

Bois de Cambre.
Le Bois de la Cambre, Bruxelles.

I am back to my routine and I'm trying hard to adapt to my schedule! I left for one week to Belgium - it was my eldest brother's birthday! This time, apart from Brussels, I also visited Leuven, Waterloo and I went for a tiny 3-hour trip to Amsterdam! As always Brussels is a calm and easy-going city, but not as easy-going and vivid as Amsterdam!

This time I didn't take many photos, since I was all day long with my brothers having a blast! Now I am back, spending time with beloved ones, trying to study, avoiding to study and read books, watch films, take photos, crochet or take a walk instead!Seems like my tumblr blog will be rather active again!!

I watched Paraisos Artificiais (brazilian) and Poulet aux prunes (french) lately and they were both amazing and I recommend them!

NEWSFLASH! Next week I'll have a giveaway in my blog, so stay tuned! Until then, you can participate at a fantastic giveaway at Forest Dreams !!

Sunday mornings..

Sundays are a bliss - both during daylight or night. I passed mine rather passively, but listening to some good music, reading a good book and enjoying fresh fruits, is always a good treat, even if you have more than enough time to think endlessly..

à Versailles..

I devoted a whole day of my trip to go to Versailles! The last time I went there was the summer of 1994, so that makes 18 years, in other words a long long time ago! It's not far away from Paris, the small town is magnificent, but of course the Palace is the very centre of attention! This time I also visited the Petit Trianon, Marie-Antoinette's palace, the Temple of Love, the Belvedere and the little village of her Majesty, which is called Le Hameau de la Reine.

Dusk.The Versailles Palace.

I loved it and you should really visit it! The gardens are wonderful and from the main palace to the Trianon and the village, you'll see nature at its best! If only I could enter all those sealed rooms, corridors and drawers...

P.S. I am sorry, but unfortunately I couldn't remember precisely the names of some rooms or little houses in the village, so I decided not to write anything at all, under some photos. You will see them soon in my flickr account .

See you,
