Sunny Christmas mood!

As we all know, it's Christmas in two weeks! And, since yesterday, I cannot wait!It might be so, because I had a really nice day with friends and family, I did some major investments, aka christmas presents for the above mentioned, plus the lights are on, and I'm waiting for my best friend to be back and have a christmas movie marathon together and take some photos in the city, up in the carousels or trying to ice skate! Also, I'm planning a fondue and patisserie-tasting evening at my place with special guests!!

Above you can see on tiny little investment I did yesterday, with the fellow blogger Lorelai , while I'm wearing my brand new shoes I got from Golden Ponies! What do you think?

Meanwhile, there's a new knitting blog out!Remember that?It's on and poppin'!! :)
So, go visit immediately Le Petit Tricot !!!
You will also have a small taste of the pleated skirt, I wanted to show some time ago!

If you are from Greece, you most probably know that Christmas doesn't always mean snow! The ''most Christmas'' I could capture so far, was this..

Also, if you are from Thessaloniki, on Saturday the 17th of December there will be a vintage bazaar at iHeart cafe (Rotonda Square), where I most enjoy drinking my caramel macchiato with my best friend!!
Here, take a look..

Last but not least, you probably saw the changes on my blog, made by Christina! - If you need any help with your own, don't hesitate to ask her, she's always happy to help!

Be sure, that the next posts will be much more chistmas-ier!!

My cup of tea!

The past week I've been busy either sewing, or stitching, or reading my books!!I will participate at a christmas bazaar, so I'm getting prepared!!Plus, I'm helping my mom with her knitting blog, which you'll be able to see pretty soon enough, I promise! :)
Meanwhile, I'm spending time with my brother's DSLR! Also, yesterday my brother came back from London and brought me four beautiful hardcover books from Camden - I adore the fact that they have a scent like old!!!

The tiny little minox that you can see in my photos was (and still is) my mom's!I discovered it in my brother's drawers, changed the battery ,put a film in it and I am experimenting! But I really don't know what the result will be!!

I forgot to mention that I am taking history of art classes and I am so so SO very excited!!I've already added a few books in my wish-book-list that have to do with the subject!! - nerd!

That's all for now, I'll be back with more interesting stuff! ;)

experimenting..

Lately I'm not doing much!I'm reading my books, I'm thinking of my future, I'm knitting, I'm cross stitching and that is all, ladies and gentlemen! Good news is that any minute now you'll be able to see my mom's creations at her very own blog!!By now you should have already seen the knitted pleated skirt, but the photos got lost in the way, so I'll need to take some other!! I promised..

Soon enough, you will see new things made by me! :D

But for now - inpriration of the moment my room, captured by me with my brother's Nikon D-5000!

Photos from weheartit.com !

I'm having my exams, so it's obvious that I'm spending a lot of time in front of my computer! :D All time classic I do everything except studying the books I must study - I'm reading Agatha Christie and I'm thinking of a teeny tiny little tattoo -sort of- design!
Have fun =)

Hello?

Hello! There is still someone here!! :) Although I made no posts lately! But I do have plenty of reasons to explain you why!

Before that, checkout the new Lomography camera La Sardina!
Photobucket

Oh I am so greedy when it comes to cameras! But I think I should stop here!I already own a digital compact one, a Diana, my dad's SLR and my latest one is the Instax (with which I had to fight and spent 20 pictures capturing NOTHING because there was a problem with the mechanism that elevates the photo! Now I have to deal with the flash - wildcat!)!But now I am glad to announce that I'll be able to use my brother's NIKON D5000, WITH his permission!! =) Although I am a Canon lover, I have no other choise!!Plus, we're planning to buy some extra lenses!!

Yesterday I went with my cousin to the museum of photography - there was a really interesting exhibition for the 3rd biennale!Afterwards we drank tea in the museum watching the port and after that we took some pictures, which you'll get to see next week!My tiny little compact couldn't capture exactly what I wanted, but this one is just a small taste of the wonderful view :)

Other than that I am crafty enough, I have plenty of ideas, but currently I am knitting a jumper for myself, baking brownies and reading Jane Austen and Agatha Christie, despite the fact that I have my exams now!

Also I made something sweet for my sweet friend who turned 24 on Thursday! It was a last minute thing that had to be nice and delicious at the same time! It's actually a sandwich of two mini macarons with mascarpone cream in the middle!Yummie!!

So much free time!

My birthday is over, FNO is over, and my daily schedule is still empty!!My university classes start on Monday so until then I enjoy my endless free time!!Ah!! Dolce fa niente! (The joy of doing nothing!)

Yesterday was a day full of surprises!!I woke up by the doorbell - my Fujifilm Instax Wide 210 was finally in my hands!Thankfully, the manual consists of..uhmm, one page - the camera is extremely easy, so I didn't even need to read it!!In the evening another present arrived - a BEAUTIFUL burgundy velvet bow tie!!

I ended my day watching ''Eat Pray Love'', reading Emma (the Penguin Classics Hardcover Edition, above), and searching on the net for the Kindle e-book readers and websites with e-books in English, French and Greek! If you know French, do try the website Lecteurs !! You will find a big variety of free french ebooks!!Oh!And I also took my first instant picture and the result is amazing - I love the fact that you get immediately the picture in your hands and you get to see the whole procedure!!

I also found through Lorelai's blog the instant photos from FNO in flickr!! :)
