Once again.be

This year, as I've already told you, I didn't spend my easter holidays in Serbia, but in Belgium. I visited once again my brothers and had lots of fun! It didn't feel like easter at all, but I didn't care that much, since I was eager for careless little trips to some Flemish towns! This time it was Gent and Leuven again. I had already been to Gent, but only for two cold December nights, and this time it was much better, for the sun was brightly shining and lots of people were out in the streets. Leuven, too, was even more beautiful with the blossomed trees and the big green parks!

Time passed quickly, but calmly. I took a lot of long walks with my mom and my brothers, ate a lot(of raspberries especially!), discovered some nice little shops, new neighbourhoods and I enjoyed a lot the shiny weather! Other than that my eldest brother took us to the most perfect tearoom, which was tiny and romantic with a rather small wooden staircase, lots of tea and handmade marmelade and a cute dog named Cézanne!

It took me a lot of time to make this post, for my procrastinative-dark-side of myself came back! Once again I started studying for my exams - this is going to be one hard month!
I'll be back really soon to show you my new tattoos!! :)

Flowers and strawberries

Lately, since the weather is sunny and warm I'm enjoying fresh flowers, books and strawberries! I'm preparing myself for the summer exams, but it's not that I've lost creativity again! Despite my 22 years of age, I started taking ballet classes, so when I'm home I'm wearing pretty much all the time my ballet shoes: the repressed feelings of a girl who didn't get to become a ballerina!!

Other than that, I'm packing once again and I'm going to Brussels, to visit my brothers! I was craving for a quick trip to Paris on the 1st of May, but that won't happen, so I'll content myself with trips to Liège, Antwerpen and Leuven! I also found out that there's a Waterstones bookstore in Brussels, which means that I'll make serious investments over there! For the time being I'm writing tons of exercises in russian, I'm reading th Secret Garden and I'm knitting - like crazy - a scarf that I really want to take with me to Belgium, otherwise I'll have to wait until October so that I can wear it!

What have you been doing lately? See you soon and have fun!

Berliner Liebe

 photo IMG_8567_zpse72bda00.jpg
Tiergarten

The first days of spring were spent in Berlin with two beloved friends of mine! Unfortunately spring hadn't arrived yet in Berlin, so we enjoyed the city with snow and one or two degrees maximum. The cold weather and the funny moments I was enjoying with my friends, didn't leave me enough time to take lots of photos.

It was my third time in Berlin, which means that I had already seen a big part of the city's monuments. The day of my arrival was adaptive, i.e I was trying to adapt from the 20 degrees of Greece to the zero of Germany, but despite the weather we enjoyed a nice dinner! The next day we took a free walking tour (www.neweuropetours.eu), which was really interesting, although some of my questions about the Holocaust monument still remain unanswered. We visited the Berliner Festspiele (Martin-Gropius-Bau), an art exhibition and a photography one, the amazing East side Gallery and walked for hours. This time I enjoyed a lot the Kreuzberg area, the bars near Warschauer Strasse, Hackescher Markt, the flea market in Mauer Park (with tons of goodies), Kastanier Strasse and te beautiful Oderbergestrasse. We tasted lots of different cuisines, such as indian, lebanese, italian and german of course; we ate the best german dishes at a beautiful small restaurant called Engelbarg in Oderbergestrasse. Also the experience was much more better, because I was hosted both in a typical West-Berlin house and an East-Berlin house!  photo IMG_8562b_zpsebf94563.jpg

As always, what I'll remember most dearly will be the funny and unpredictable moments with my friends! :)

Days in the city

The past days have been rather quiet and predictable, but not dull at all! I enjoy this season the most; everything feels very refreshing and new. Despite the fact that the weather seems to be regressing (after 18 degrees, we went back to 5!!), I crave for some time by the sea reading a book, without being annoyed by rather talkative people!

So, long story short, I finished reading Lolita (marvellous book!), I went to the University and after that I met with my best friend for a coffee and ate that delicious chocolate muffin, and later on we discovered a very well hidden underground bookshop!! I also finished cross-stitching the small rose and I'll send it this week to my grand-mother!

The past week a group of bloggers from Thessaloniki were invited to the presentation of the new Accessorize and Monsoon spring collection On the occasion of the renovation of one of the Accessorize shops. It was a sweet opportunity to meet the girls, Joanna and Dimitra, who organised the whole thing, and get to see all the new things in the shop!

We were rather enthusiastic with all the shiny and romantic necklaces and earrings, the floral and retro sunglasses, the stationery and of course the countless bag designs!! Everything was based on the five styles: Eden, Bloom, Debutante, Geisha and Indigo. India and Bollywood were the main inspiration for most of the accessories. The shop was the first to be renovated; neutral, calm colors and quirky colourful details along with the lighting offered a refreshing result! We were glad to learn about the new designs, but -mostly- we were lucky enough to be given the opportunity to choose our favorite thing and take it as a gift!

Despite the fact that I was dizzy with all the necklaces, pendants, rings and hair accessories, I chose a backpack with really interesting and beautiful motives, which will accompany me from now on, as it is handy,     comfortable and ideal for those heavy books I'm carrying everyday!
